Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application Guide for 2025-2026 Academic Year

Aspiring students looking forward to joining TUT in the 2025-2026 academic cycle are invited to submit their applications through the university’s official portal at www.tut.ac.za. To embark on your application journey, simply click the “Apply Now” icon prominently displayed on the homepage, or navigate to the “I want to study” section for comprehensive details on program offerings, entry prerequisites, and related application instructions.

To ensure a seamless application process, applicants are required to complete the online application form in full, accompany it with recently certified copies of their identity document and (National) Senior Certificate or latest academic transcripts, and attend promptly to the administrative fee of R240. It is crucial that the date of certification on these documents is no more than one year prior to submission.

Please take note of the following application deadlines for the 2025-2026 academic year:

  • 15 May: For mid-year starting courses.
  • 15 June: Specific to Correctional Services Management, Dental Technology, Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics, Policing, Pharmacy, Radiography, Road Traffic and Municipal Police Management: Municipal and Traffic Policing, and to all international applicants.
  • 31 July: This deadline applies to a wide array of programs including but not limited to Agriculture disciplines, Analytical Chemistry, various Engineering fields, Health Sciences, Journalism, Public Relations, and several more. The complete list can be found on the TUT website. This date also pertains to all qualifications within the Faculty of Arts and Design.
  • 30 September: For all remaining courses not mentioned above.

Applicants are reminded that admission is contingent on space availability, as TUT strives to maintain optimal student numbers to ensure quality education. It is worth noting that qualifications in Policing, Law and Legal Support have reached full capacity and will not accept additional applicants for the 2025-2026 intake.

Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis, strictly based on program availability. However, prospective students are strongly encouraged to adhere to the published deadlines to enhance their chances of securing a spot in their desired field of study.

Should you require further assistance or clarification, TUT’s dedicated admissions team is ready to support you through the application process.
