Admission Requirements and Selection Criteria:
To join this program, you need to meet the admission requirements outlined in the qualification NDITF1 listed under the ICT First Years’ and Foundation Unit. This may include academic prerequisites and other criteria.
Minimum Duration:
The National Diploma in Information Technology: Web and Application Development spans four years, divided as follows:
- Year One: Foundation subjects.
- Year Two: General first-year subjects.
- Years Three and Four: Specialization subjects.
Presentation:
Classes are conducted during the day.
Intake for the Qualification:
New students are admitted in January only.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Equivalence, and Status:

Industry Exposure IIIB (Work-Integrated Learning):
Students interested in Industry Exposure IIIB must obtain permission from the Head of the Department. Further details are available in Chapter 5 of the Students’ Rules and Regulations, specifically paragraphs 5.2 and 5.3.
Subject Credits:
Each subject is associated with a specific number of credits, which are indicated in brackets after the subject name. Understanding these credits is crucial for monitoring your progress through the program.
Curriculum Overview:

Year One: Foundation Subjects
- Foundation Academic and Language Skills (0.125 credits)

- Foundation Presentation and Reporting Skills (0.125 credits)
Year Two
After completing all first-year subjects, students move on to the second year, which consists of subjects like Computing Fundamentals, Computing Systems, Computing Skills, and Development Software.
Years Three and Four: Web and Application Development Specialization
From the third year onward, students begin to specialize in Web and Application Development. Here’s an overview of some third and fourth-year subjects:
