As of 2020, NDIT12 is being replaced by qualifications aligned with the newly-implemented Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework. Therefore, if you’re planning to pursue further studies, make sure to check the university’s website for the latest qualifications, as they might not be published in the prospectus.
Admission Requirements: Your Ticket to NDIT12

For Applicants Who Obtained a Senior Certificate Before 2008:
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent with a 50% pass in Mathematics at Standard Grade (SG).

Prospective students will be selected based on a point system, which takes into account their school results. To be eligible for an assessment, applicants should obtain at least 9 points and a D symbol in Standard Grade Mathematics.
For Applicants Who Obtained a National Senior Certificate in or After 2008:
- A National Senior Certificate with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement or an equivalent qualification.
- Achievement level of at least 3 for English and 4 for Mathematics.
Applicants with a 3 in Mathematics or at least 5 in Mathematical Literacy will be considered for admission to the extended program. Specializations such as Communication Networks and Intelligent Industrial Systems have specific Mathematics requirements.
For Applicants Who Obtained a Qualification from TVET Colleges:
- National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4:
- Achieve at least 50% (APS of 4) for English and 60% (APS of 5) for Mathematics.
- National N Certificate as published in Nated 191: N3 at (NQF Level 4):
- Achieve at least 40% (APS of 3) for English and 60% (APS of 5) for Mathematics.
Applicants meeting these requirements will be considered for NDIT12.
