a. Prerequisites: Applicants must hold a discipline-specific qualification at NQF Level 5 or 6, excluding a teaching degree.

 

  • Candidates undergo an interview overseen by designated academic personnel from the School Head’s directive.
  • As per the Norms and Standards for Teacher Education, applicants should have proficiency in two relevant subjects or fields.
  • A minimum of 100 teaching hours in genuine settings (e.g., schools and colleges) is mandatory.
  • The PGCE intake is exclusively for Education and Training (FET).

c. Duration: One academic year.

d. Mode: Evening or block-mode sessions spread over two years.

e. Enrollment Period: Only in January.
