UL Late Application 2025: Undergraduate and Postgraduate

The University of Limpopo (UL) has opened its late application period for the 2025 academic year, providing an opportunity for prospective students who missed the initial deadlines to apply for select undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This window is crucial for applicants aiming to secure a place at UL despite missing earlier application periods.

Late Application Period and Deadlines

UL’s late application cycle commenced on January 25, 2025, and will remain open until all available spots are filled. Given the competitive nature of these applications and the limited availability of spaces, it is imperative for interested candidates to submit their applications promptly.

Application Process

All late applications must be submitted online through UL’s official application portal. The university does not accept manual or paper-based applications during this period. This streamlined process applies to both domestic and international applicants.

Application Fees

The application handling fee for late submissions is R200 for South African applicants and R750 for international applicants. Applicants are required to deposit the fee into the university’s designated bank account and attach the original proof of payment to their application.

Available Programs

Late applications are accepted for specific programs within the following faculties:

Faculty of Science and Agriculture

Faculty of Management and Law: Limited to the Bachelor of Accountancy program, with applications closing on January 22, 2025.

Additionally, research-based postgraduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D.) are open for applications throughout the year. Prospective students interested in these programs should contact the relevant school before applying.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the minimum Admission Point Score (APS) for their chosen program. The APS is calculated by adding the achievement levels in six recognized 20-credit subjects, excluding Life Orientation. It’s important to note that meeting the minimum APS does not guarantee admission, as selection is competitive and subject to space availability.

Required Documents

Applicants should prepare the following certified documents for submission:

  • Identification: Valid passport or South African ID book/card.
  • Academic Records: Matric certificate or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proof of Payment: Original proof of application fee payment.
  • Additional Documents: Marriage certificate (if applicable), academic transcripts, and, for international students, a HESA certificate if secondary education was completed outside South Africa.

Important Considerations

No Walk-ins: UL does not permit walk-in applications during the late application period. All applications must be submitted online.

Program Capacity: Each program has a set capacity. Once a program is full, no further applications will be considered, even during the late application period. Applicants are advised to apply early and consider alternative programs to increase their chances of admission.

Contact Information

For further assistance or inquiries regarding the late application process, applicants can contact UL’s Admissions Office:

Phone: +27 (0)15 268 3332

Email: enrolment@ul.ac.za

Website: University of Limpopo Admissions

Prospective students are encouraged to visit the official UL website regularly for updates and to ensure they meet all application requirements. Timely submission of complete applications will enhance the likelihood of securing a place in the desired program.
