Admission requirements: A potential student must be in possession of a BCom or an Advanced Diploma and should have appropriate knowledge of Accounting, Taxation and Governance and Control on New NQF level 7/Old NQF level 6. The department may require the completion of a bridging programme should students not comply with the rules of access regarding the specific module knowledge in Accounting, Taxation and Governance and Control. Final admission requirements will from time to time be set by the department.

Brief description of programme: The purpose of this qualification is to develop intellectual and practical skills in the analysis, interpretation and application
of advanced accounting, governance and control and taxation principles. This programme will prepare students to identify and solve advanced accounting, governance and control and taxation principles in practice. Lastly this programme will prepare students for further studies in accounting, auditing and taxation as a science.
