You will receive acknowledgement that your application has been received in one of the following ways:

1. On-line applications

     (a) Applicants are required to have an email address (Hard Copy Applications, Postal and Online Applications)

     (b) The acknowledge letter will be sent to the email address provided.

 2. Postal applications

    (a) If you sent you application by post an acknowledgement letter will be emailed to you.

 3. On-Campus applications

     (a) If you hand in your application form at the Help Desk on the ground floor at the Administration Building on the Campus you will receive and  acknowledgement letter. 

Status of application

You may call the Contact Centre to enquire about the status of your application @ +27 21 959 3900 or +27 21 959 3901 from the 1st June 2016 and it will be communicated to the email address you have provided.

Special Assessment rule A.5.2.7

(a)  Within the assessment period the Faculty concerned may grant permission for a special assessment in the case of a student who has been prevented from completing any assessment task, due to –

(i)            Illness immediately preceding or on the day of the assessment, provided that a satisfactory medical certificate, specifying the nature and the duration of the illness, submitted; or

(ii)          Any other serious special circumstances, which may justify such special assessment, provided that satisfactory proof of such circumstances shall be produced.

ASSOCIATE STATUS STUDENT  APPLICATION FOR 2ND SEMESTER MODULES RULES A.5.2.2

(a) In accordance with the University’s Assessment Policy, Section B, item 5, a student repeating a module may be exempted from classes, register as an associate student and pay only examination/assessment fees, provided that the student has obtained a final mark of 40. Student may therefore make application in this regard.
