If you are a student in your final year of study, or you’ve successfully completed your qualification, make sure you’re registered for our GO (Graduate Opportunities) Placement Programme. We will mentor you through the application process to find full-time job opportunities with big corporates and small businesses alike.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATES:

•Full-time Internship / Learnership (temporary contract).
•Period of supervised training required for qualifying for a profession or to gain relevant industry experience. It may include a specified number of academic credits or classroom years.
•A Graduate Programme (a corporate fixed term / permanent contract).
•A period of 1-2 years on a Graduate Development Programme that may include an on-the-job training plan (practical exposure), classroom training (soft skills development) and monthly performance management (to track your level of development and potential). Based on performance, you may be offered permanent employment on completion of the Programme.
•A permanent position at a junior level.

HOW WE HELP DURING THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
Given that Graduate Recruitment Programmes tend to be expensive investments for companies (usually corporates), there usually is a stringent selection process involved. This is usually split into 3 stages:

1)First interview – similar to introductory, one-on-one interviews for part-time work.
2)Second interview – More in-depth; may be a group or panel interview.
3)Psychometric testing – Work simulations, aptitude tests, etc.

Throughout the process, employers are looking at skills and competence in terms of communication, teamwork, flexibility, motivation, general drive, planning and time management abilities.

Your Career Centre Coordinator will help you at every stage, making sure you are sufficiently prepared in terms of the different requirements – from correctly completing forms to helping you stand out with confidence when presenting yourself in person. This will give you the best possible chance of landing that first job you’ve always dreamed about.
