Plant pansies, violas, petunias, poppies, and calendulas in sunny borders, beds, pots, and baskets, and Cineraria, primroses, and primulas in less sunny areas. Winter-flowering plants like pansies, stocks, dianthus, petunias, and daffodils will brighten up your landscape. In shaded regions of your garden, plant lobelia, primula, and foxgloves.

June is an excellent month for garden maintenance and hard landscaping, such as installing birdbaths, water features, and sculptures, or draining and repairing leaking water features and defective pumps.

In preparation for the big prune, repair damaged garden tools and sharpen pruning tools!
