An LLC is a business entity that provides limited liability to its owners. Limited liability means that the owners are not personally liable for the debts and obligations of the company. Any kind of company can use this type of business structure, whether it’s a small home-based business or a large multinational corporation.

The LLC has two types of ownership, members and managers. Members are the individuals who own shares in the company and have voting rights. Managers are those who manage day-to-day operations and decide on behalf of the company.
