Diwali Dates Detailed Information
The Diwali festival is actually five days long, with the main day happening on the third. It’s important to take some time off during this time of year because it is quite an exciting and fun event.
It’s associated with Lord Ram’s return to his kingdom in Ayodhya after exile and rescuing his wife from demon king Ravan on Dussehra.
Though South India celebrates Deepavali on a different date from North India, both countries converge on the one-day holiday to pay homage to Asura. In fact, every cycle of the Hindu lunar weeks has a corresponding festival celebration.
This Hindu Festival is celebrated in some places around the world, but not in Kerala. The main deity of this festival is Goddess Lakshmi, and she is thought to be the goddess of good fortune and prosperity.
