When is the Rugby World Cup in South Africa?

South Africa has only played in 7 of the 9 Rugby World Cups because it was prevented from playing in the first two tournaments of the competition.

After apartheid ended in South Africa, they played again and won the 1995 Rugby World Cup. They did it again by winning the 2007 Rugby World Cup overseas.

The Springboks did not lose a pool game until they beat England in the Rugby World Cup 2019.

South Africa has a slight lead over New Zealand at the World Cup, but only 3 wins. Both teams have participated in fewer tournaments and Rugby World Cup records are established by the number of games won.

In addition to this, they are the only rugby team to have won every World Cup final they have played in.
