Reasons for the ban
The actions were taken to stop COVID-19 from spreading.There are proposals to increase the legal drinking age to 21 and to outlaw advertising.Additionally, a regulation prohibiting even a single drink before driving has been written by MPs.
Conditions for the ban lift
Liquor outlets will be allowed to sell alcohol for off-site consumption from Monday to Thursday during the hours of 9am to 5pm only.
Alcohol sold should be used in the homes and not in public spaces to prevent overcrowding.
