What Is The Best Time To Visit Koster?

The best time to visit the town of Koster, South Africa is during the months of October through April. The summer months are unbearably hot and humid, which can be a problem for travellers.

Driving to Koster

The drive from Johannesburg takes about four hours and the drive from Pretoria takes about three hours.
Take Highway N1 to Benoni and then take the R102 to Witbank. After Witbank, take the N4 towards Vereeniging. After 40km, turn left at the Golden Highway Interchange onto the R24 towards Potchefstroom.

The Mabalingwe Game Reserve has a number of accommodation options available. There are campsites, luxury lodges and self-catering accommodation available. The campsites offer tent sites and also have some chalets for hire, with prices starting from R600 per night.
