Ladysmith is a city in the Uthukela District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Durban and 365 kilometres (227 mi) southeast of Johannesburg.

There are many important industries in the area, including food processing, textiles, and tire production.

Ladysmith is the seat for both the Alfred Duma Local Municipality and Uthukela District Municipality.

In 1900, James Dunsmuir renamed the unincorporated town of Oyster Harbour on the east coast of Vancouver Island Ladysmith.

Ladysmith is in British Columbia, Canada, and has a subtropical highland climate. Summers are warm with cool winters.

Ladysmith has a “humid subtropical climate” in an area with a high humidity level in combination with mild but unpredictable weather. The town has more rain in winter than in summer.
