Who Owns Kfc in South Africa

Yum owns more than 68 KFC restaurants in SA.

The parent company of KFC, Yum Brands, announced the acquisition of 68 franchise units from franchisee Kumnandi Food Company as part of its ambitions to increase investment in South Africa and throughout the continent.

KFC presently operates 190 stores across the continent, including more than 660 in South Africa. This network will include more than 1000 members, with over 700 of them in South Africa.

The 68 KFC locations in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, and Kimberley were acquired in November, according to KFC managing director Keith Warren, marking a key brand milestone for the company.
