Ekapa High School Scholarship 2025-2026
About the Ekapa High School Scholarship Programme
Ekapa invites students to apply for their High School Scholarship programme for the 2025-2026 academic year. This scholarship is aimed at underprivileged students entering Grades 10 to 12 who reside within the mine’s labor-sending area of Frances Baard District Municipality (Northern Cape).
The programme aims to provide these students with the opportunity to achieve their academic goals and become well-rounded individuals.
Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship award will provide partial sponsorship for the following expenses:
- School fees
- Textbooks
- Stationery
- Uniform
- Sporting and cultural activities
Expenses will be covered up to a specific, allocated amount, aiming to provide the youth with the necessary skills and opportunities to acquire qualifications, increase their knowledge, and establish a solid foundation for a career within the mining sector.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be entering Grade 10, Grade 11, or Matric in 2025-2026
- Must reside within the local community of Frances Baard District Municipality
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in the previous exam
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in Mathematics and Science
- Must attend a local school
- Must demonstrate academic excellence
- Must engage in extra-curricular activities, sports, and/or culture
- Must be in financial need
- Must have a recommendation from the school principal
How to Apply
Students who meet all the above criteria can apply by submitting clear copies of the following supporting documentation:
- ID document
- Latest school report
- Proof of residence
- Recommendation letter from the school principal
Note: There is no application form to be completed for this scholarship application. Students need only submit the above documents.
