Triumph Games Bets Big on Web3 With New Ecosystem, Token Launch, and AI-Driven Play

From PlayStation Classics to Web3 Frontiers

Matthew Nagy, co-founder of Triumph Games, has seen the gaming industry evolve firsthand. Starting with design work on Die Hard Trilogy and Alien Trilogy for the original PlayStation, he later moved into GameCube and Wii development before entering the free-to-play mobile era.

Now, Nagy says blockchain is the next natural step. “Traditional players thought play-to-earn was just another money grab, but for me it was the opposite. It’s about giving back to players and letting them earn by themselves. That’s where I wanted to be.”

The Spark for Change

The shift toward Web3 was personal. One of Nagy’s sons discovered a $300 CS:GO knife, but the lack of safe trading left him vulnerable. “He even got scammed once. Blockchain solves that instantly — funds and assets move together, like escrow with proof of authenticity. That’s when I realized this was where I belonged.”

Building the Triumph Ecosystem

Triumph began with BattleRise, a tactical RPG described as “D&D for your mobile.” Today, the studio runs a growing multi-title network:

  • BattleRise: Over 18,000 monthly active users on iOS, Android, and web.

  • Elumia: An MMORPG with user-generated content, jumping from 100 daily users in April to 4,000 in August 2024.

  • ArmorX: An action RPG with a tokenized economy, boasting 350,000 wallets registered for closed beta.

“We never planned to be more than a single game,” Nagy admitted. “But then we connected with the right people, acquired new titles, and now we’re building an ecosystem tied together with a studio token.”

Intellectual Property as a Core Asset

Unlike many studios chasing licenses, Triumph is investing in original IP. “If you make something cool enough, people don’t just want to play it. They want to wear the art, own the merch, and feel part of the universe,” Nagy explained.

Community input plays a decisive role: 85% of the upcoming BattleRise roadmap was shaped directly by player feedback.

The UGC and AI Push

User-generated content (UGC) anchors Triumph’s long-term vision:

  • BattleRise will let players create and monetize their own dungeons with drag-and-drop tools.

  • Elumia is rolling out crafting and player-built items.

  • ArmorX will support custom armor and weapons.

Triumph also secured a €1.2 million European grant to build AI-driven, emotive NPCs that adapt to player interactions. “Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite – UGC is what makes those games go viral. We want to give that same power to our players,” Nagy said.

Token Launch on Arbitrum

The studio’s token will debut October 9 on Arbitrum, with a portion also deployed on Immutable zkEVM. Unlike projects that launch tokens before products, Triumph’s approach ensures players enter an existing ecosystem.

  • Rewards begin with skill-to-earn airdrops and leaderboards.

  • MEXC is confirmed as a listing exchange, with talks ongoing with Gate.io.

  • The design avoids pitfalls of single-game tokens that often collapse from overfarming.

“We’re not here for a pump-and-dump. I’ve spent weeks completing Zelda titles to 100%. I’m in this for the long game,” Nagy said.

Looking Ahead

The roadmap runs into 2026:

  • UGC dungeons in BattleRise

  • Crafting in Elumia

  • ArmorX’s full beta release

  • Elumia land sale planned for late 2026

“The vision is longevity,” Nagy concluded. “We’re building games that can grow, evolve, and even be handed off to new teams. AAA design balanced with sustainable Web3 economics is what will give our titles staying power.”
