BET Software Bursary 2024-2025:
BET Software offers financial assistance through the BET Dare to Dream Bursary to a select number of students annually. This bursary program is intended for students pursuing studies in ICT-related fields, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology and Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and System and Network Administration.
For the academic year 2024-2025, the bursary covers tuition fees and registration costs only, with other expenses being the responsibility of the bursars. In addition to funding, bursary recipients have the opportunity to participate in skill development workshops and events, gaining real-life training experience to prepare them for the workforce after completing their programs.
Initially, bursaries are awarded for one academic year, and students must reapply for the following year. As part of the bursary agreement, recipients are required to join the BET Graduate Programme upon completing their studies and work for the company for a duration equivalent to the funding received.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the BET Software Bursary 2024-2025, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including:
- Pursuing or intending to pursue a National Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in one of the specified ICT-related fields.
- The duration of the qualification must be at least 12 months.
- Studying or planning to study at a recognized South African Higher Learning institution.
- A minimum academic average of 65% if currently studying.
- Agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Preference may be given to candidates studying in proximity to their intended tertiary institution, as determined by the company’s published list.
