A woman is not allowed to recite the Holy Quran in the regular manner during menstruation using computers or mobile devices even though she would not be physically holding the Holy Quran. A woman may repeat the previously memorised portions of the Holy Quran by way of zikr [remembrance and reflection] in her heart during menstruation. Moreover, she may also read out a portion of it in order to teach it to children. However, she may not recite it in the regular manner.

As for touching the Mushaf (Book) by the impure person and the menstruating woman is not permitted, it is Haram due to the saying of Allah ﴾ “None touch it except the purified” [Al-Waqi’a: 79].
