Cape Agulhas Municipality Bursary 2025-2026
Collaborating with the Provincial Treasury, the Cape Agulhas Bursary is calling for applications for the upcoming academic year. The bursaries are offered within the Cape Agulhas Municipality and are specifically aimed at students pursuing degrees in the following fields:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Internal Audit
- Supply Chain Management
- Risk Management
- Infrastructure and Economics
The bursaries will be awarded for a single academic year to students in need of financial support, provided they have a low combined monthly income. It is important to note that the bursary cannot be used to settle previous loans or clear existing debts.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Cape Agulhas Municipality Bursary, candidates need to meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a South African citizen residing within Cape Agulhas Municipality and aged between 18 and 25.
- Have completed the Senior/Matric examination or an equivalent examination.
- Be studying or intending to study in the specified fields at an accredited and registered South African university.
- Possess a strong academic record and a genuine interest in community upliftment.
- Come from a disadvantaged background and require financial assistance.
- Individuals with physical disabilities are also encouraged to apply.

Required Documents
Ensure that you submit the following documents to meet the bursary programme’s eligibility criteria:
- Certified copies of ID documents
- Certified copies of Matric certificates
- Academic progress report (if currently studying)
- Application/admission proof at a tertiary institution (including course details, tuition fees, study duration, and banking details)
- A motivational letter (minimum 400 words) explaining why you should be awarded the bursary
- Certified copies of guardians/parents’ IDs
- Certified copies of guardians/parents’ total income proof (latest payslip for employed, affidavits for unemployed, pension/grant proof if applicable)
- Proof of residence in Cape Agulhas Municipality
