Cape Town, affectionately known as the “Mother City,” is not only the largest city of the Western Cape province and the oldest city in South Africa, but it’s also the proud home of the renowned Table Mountain, recognized as one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
The city offers an array of services to its residents, which include drainage, electricity, waste services, traffic control, water and sanitation services, and more, aiming to ensure the highest living standards for its inhabitants. Serving diverse regions from Blaauwberg to Tygerberg, the City of Cape Town maintains a strong commitment to its populace.
In this light, the City of Cape Town is eager to announce its Bursary Programme for the academic year, aimed at providing support and encouragement to promising students who reside within the Cape Metropolitan Area/ Cape Town.

Recognizing the need for qualified professionals in various fields, the city is offering bursaries for studies in areas that are considered ‘scarce skills.’ These include fields such as Accounting, Data Science, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Fleet Management, Legal studies, and Urban Design, among others. By doing so, the city hopes to bolster its professional workforce and create a flourishing future for Cape Town.
