GEFT Bursary Program: What You Need to Know
Scope: The bursary is designed for financially constrained South African students aspiring to acquire an Honor’s or Master’s degree. The program prides itself on inclusivity, welcoming applicants from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Benefits: Successful candidates will have their tuition, stationery, and essential study materials covered. In special circumstances, the bursary may also shoulder additional costs such as accommodation and transportation.
Eligibility: To be considered, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Show an inclination towards pursuing an Honor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Health, or related fields.
- Be from a disadvantaged background as per the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998.
- Be enrolled or willing to enroll at a recognized South African University.
- Achieve a minimum score of 65% in their undergraduate or Honors degree.
