GIBB Engineering Bursary 2025-2026:

GIBB is offering bursaries to students for the academic year 2025-2026 to pursue civil engineering degrees specializing in Civil Engineering, Roads, and Rails. The bursary covers prescribed expenses, including accommodation, textbooks, tuition fees, and travel costs (where applicable). Shortlisted candidates may have the opportunity to participate in vacation work and complete practical training. Upon graduation, bursary recipients are required to work at any GIBB office in South Africa.

The bursary is renewable each year based on the candidate’s academic performance, with an average mark requirement of above 60%.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the GIBB Engineering Bursary, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • South African citizenship
  • Matriculation (Grade 12) is a prerequisite
  • Pursuing a full-time civil engineering degree, specializing in Civil Engineering, Roads, and Rails
  • Entering the second year in the upcoming academic year
  • Studying at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa
