Gold Circle Bursary Programme 2024-2025: A Bridge to Education Excellence

Gold Circle invites ambitious individuals to apply for the Gold Circle Bursary Programme 2024-2025, aiming to assist deserving students from economically challenged backgrounds. This bursary initiative covers degree, certificate, and diploma studies in critical fields identified by Gold Circle. By providing financial support for prescribed textbooks, registration fees, and tuition, Gold Circle is committed to nurturing the academic aspirations of South African youth.

Eligibility Criteria: Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders

To be considered for this prestigious bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizenship with an age range of 15 to 35 years
  • Matriculated with a minimum average score of 65%
  • Enrolled or intending to enroll in a degree, certificate, or diploma course
  • Studying or applying to an accredited and recognized Higher Educational institution in South Africa
  • Achieved a minimum of 65% in the latest examination (for current students)
  • Demonstrated financial need

Additional criteria apply for children/wards of both non-employees and employees of Gold Circle:

For non-employees of Gold Circle:

  • Preference for disadvantaged backgrounds (Coloured, Indian, Black individuals, disabilities, youth, and women)
  • Gross family income not exceeding R180,000 per annum
  • Proof of financial need required

For children/wards of employees of Gold Circle or its subsidiary companies:

  • Employee earning not more than R180,000 per annum
  • Minimum employed tenure of one year without breaks
  • Proof of financial need required

Required Documents: Building Strong Applications

Ensure your application is comprehensive by including the following documents:

  • Certified copy of your identification document
  • Statement of results/matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Recent academic results including transcripts
  • Certified copy of physical address proof
  • Certified copy of bank statements for the past three months
  • Proof of income (latest payslips if employed; bank and financial statements if self-employed)
  • Certified copy of parents/guardians/spouses’ ID documents
  • Proof of parents/guardians/spouses’ income (latest 3 months bank statement)
  • Death certificate (if deceased) or divorce certificate (if divorced, certified copies)
  • Proof of application or registration to a recognized South African Higher Education institution (preferably on their letterhead)
  • Motivational letter supporting the application
  • Letter of reference from a credible source
