How to View Matric Results Online:
- Go to the website of the Department of Basic Education (DBE).
- To view the exam results, click the button.
- Select the NSC exam results.
- You will be asked to enter your exam number.
- More personal data may be requested.
- Select the search option.
- Your Matric results should be shown here.
Can I use my ID number to verify my Matric results?
Can I Use My ID Number to Check My Matric Results? You may verify your findings using your ID number as follows: Install the MatricsMate App on your smartphone (download on Google Play Store or Apple Pay Store) You must enter your ID number and exam number to view your results.
Is it possible to verify my Matric certificate online?
The Department of Basic Education can provide you with your Matric statement of results (DBE). This may be done on the DBE website. Your Matric declaration of results will be emailed to you immediately. This is done by email.
How will I know if my Matric certificate is complete?
The department recommends that you double-check before going to pick up the certificate. You can do so by contacting either the national or regional offices: 012 357 4511/13 certification@dbe.gov.za National office (link sends e-mail) 043 604 7709/73 (Eastern Cape).
Can I get my matric certificate by email?
You may apply online through the e-Matric e-Re-Issue if you have lost or damaged your original matric certificate, or if you wrote matric in more than one examination sitting and want to combine your credits to qualify for a National Certificate, i.e. Senior Certificate (SC) or National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Can I get my matric certificate right away?
A Replacement certificate takes four to six weeks to be issued (for records on the system). You can get your results statement right away. It will take longer for records that are not already on the system because they must be retrieved from the Archives and loaded onto the system.
