Online check-in is available 90 minutes before domestic flights and two hours before international flights. If you don’t have a printer, you can print your boarding pass at the airport’s self-service check-in kiosks or collect it from an SAA check-in counter.
How do I get my boarding pass and check in for my flight?
You can view your flight itinerary and confirmation number in your online account’s “Flights and Hotels” section; this information becomes available 30 days before your trip’s scheduled departure date.
To check in for your flight, go to your airline’s website as soon as 24 hours before your first flight’s departure. To check in, enter the confirmation number from your online account. You will also be able to see your seats and, if the airlines allow it, confirm your seating preferences.
Options for boarding passes: When you check in, you can print your boarding pass from the airline’s website, or you can do so at the airport when you arrive. Check to see if your airline provides mobile boarding passes; it’s one less thing to carry and one less tree to cut down.
Allow plenty of time to arrive at the airport. Even if you’ve already checked in online, we strongly advise you to arrive at the airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
