However, if you want to get a more detailed breakdown of your DNA results and compare them against other people’s, then you’ll need to pay for a genetic test. - All tests require the same amount of buccal swabs and samples. The costs are therefore the same for all family configurations.
- The costs include VAT, courier costs and other administration fees.
How much should you expect to spend?
You can choose to pay R 697 for your test upfront and a further R 498 once the results are ready. It is optional, you don’t have to do this. If you do, you can use the extra R 498 towards the cost of your child’s test if they decide to have one done as well.

Standard DNA testing costs R 1195 per person.
The total cost of the DNA test is R 1195.00 per person (R 2390.00 to test an alleged father and child). If you are happy to pay in advance, we offer a discounted rate for paying in full at the time of booking: R 697.50 upfront and R 498.50 when your results are ready. It’s totally up to you which option you choose!
