How to Set Up Your FNB Online Banking Profile as a New User
Setting up your FNB Online Banking profile is a crucial step toward managing your finances effectively. With Online Banking Enterprise™, you can access a wide range of banking services conveniently from your computer or mobile device. This guide will walk you through the process of registering for FNB Online Banking, ensuring you have all the information needed to get started smoothly.
Step 1: Receive Your Registration Code
As a new user, you will receive a notification containing a unique Registration Code. This notification will guide you to the FNB home page to begin the registration process for Online Banking Enterprise™.
If you already bank with FNB in your personal capacity and have the Banking App linked to your personal profile, the Security Code will be sent to your Messages in the App.
If you are not an existing FNB customer, the Security Code will be sent to you via SMS.
Important Note
If you do not complete the registration process within 24 hours of receiving the notification, the Security Code will expire. In this case, you will need to ask an Administrator to resend a new Security Code by following these steps:
- Click on Profiles and then select User Dashboard.
- Select Total Users and then choose Request Status view.
- Click on the Resend Code option for the respective user.
- A results page will display the status of your request.
- Click on Finish to complete the process.
Step 2: Register for Online Banking Enterprise™
To register, follow these steps:
Go to the FNB Home Page.
Select Register.
Choose the option to Register with an ID number and Security Code.
Enter the Security Code provided in your notification, along with your ID details.
Enter or update your personal details as required.
Create your login credentials, including a Username and Password.
Step 3: Download the FNB Banking App
Once you have completed your registration:
Download the latest version of the FNB Banking App from your app store.
Link your profile using the new username you created during registration.
Step 4: Log in to Online Banking Enterprise™
To log in:
- Open the FNB website via your PC browser.
- Enter your Username and Password, then click Login.
Upon successful verification of your details, you will be prompted to:
- Confirm the New Device Linking Request.
- Create a 4-digit PIN, which will be required for authenticating your login and authorizing requests on the Banking App. It’s crucial to remember this PIN!
Additional Verification
If the bank cannot verify your personal details during the login process, you may be asked to provide additional personal information or upload supporting documents to verify your identity.
Have the following documents ready:
- Identity Document / Passport
- Proof of Address (no older than 3 months)
Important Information Regarding the Verification Process
- You will not be able to access your profile until the bank has completed the verification process, which may take up to 5 working days.
- While your documents are being verified, the upload prompt will continue to display each time you log in.
- Unless an FNB agent contacts you requesting further documents, do not upload your supporting documents more than once to avoid delays.
Once your details have been verified, the upload prompt will no longer appear, and you will be able to bank as usual.
Conclusion
Setting up your FNB Online Banking profile as a new user is a straightforward process that provides you with convenient access to a range of banking services. By following the outlined steps, you can ensure a smooth registration and verification experience.
