NMU Short Course in Renal Functioning and Renal Failure in Children
The purpose of the SLP is to enhance the knowledge of heath care professionals regarding renal function and failure in children.
Layout of the SLP
- A Five day, non-credit bearing programme at R 1000 per person inclusive of material and refreshments
- Dates: 12-15 June
- A registered NMMU Short Learning Programme
Learning components include theory and practica:
- Anatomy and physiology related to children
- Assessment of the patient with renal disease
- Renal pathology in children within the south African context
- Acute kidney injury
- Chronic kidney disease
