South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV) Bursary 2025-2026

About SAIV (South African Institute of Valuers):

The South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV) is a society of real estate valuers in South Africa. Established in 1909, it is one of the oldest societies in the country. SAIV’s mission is to serve, advance, and protect the valuation industry by bringing together professionals in the field, providing education and mentorship to its members, and contributing to the overall growth of the industry.

As part of its commitment to the sector, SAIV also offers bursaries to meet the demand for skilled professionals in property valuation.

South African Institute Of Valuers (SAIV) Bursary Overview:

SAIV is offering bursaries to students pursuing property valuation qualifications at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for the academic year 2025-2026. The bursary initially covers one academic year, with the possibility of extension based on academic performance.

Bursary recipients are required to submit progress reports for evaluation, and the funding amount may vary depending on individual student needs and quotations received from the tertiary institution. The bursary is transferred directly to the institution to cover tuition costs, while students are responsible for other expenses such as accommodation and travel.

In addition to financial support, bursary recipients benefit from mentorship by experienced valuers, gaining insights into property valuation and industry practices. This mentorship enhances their employability upon graduation.

SAIV Bursary Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the SAIV bursary, applicants must meet specific criteria. It’s essential to ensure you meet these requirements before applying, as SAIV receives a high volume of applications and may reject those that do not meet the criteria. • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be studying toward a property valuation qualification accredited by the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP).
