South African Reserve Bank Bursary 2025-2026

South African Reserve Bank Bursary 2025-2026

About the Company – SARB:

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is the central bank of South Africa, established in 1921 following the passing of the “Currency and Bank Act of 10 August 1920” in Parliament. Prior to its establishment, commercial banks in South Africa issued banknotes to the public. The SARB’s primary objective is to maintain price stability for sustainable economic growth in the country. It operates autonomously and administers customs service and the tax system in South Africa. The SARB plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the country’s banking, money, and financial systems meet community requirements, align with international developments, and provide macroeconomic policy data to the government and other economic community members. Additionally, it informs the South African community and international stakeholders about the country’s monetary policy and economic status.
