Stellenbosch Municipality, also referred to as Stellenbosch Local Municipality, is a governmental organization located in South Africa. Its jurisdiction encompasses the towns of Stellenbosch, Pniel, and Franschhoek, as well as the surrounding rural areas within the Western Cape province. This municipality falls under the Cape Winelands District Municipality and shares boundaries with The City of Cape Town Municipality, Drakenstein Municipality, Breede Valley Municipality, and Theewaterskloof Municipality within the Cape Winelands District.
Stellenbosch Municipality Bursary 2025-2026
Stellenbosch Municipality has joined forces with the Provincial Treasury Department of the Western Cape Government to provide bursaries to unemployed youth residing permanently within the Stellenbosch municipal area and its adjacent regions. The primary aim of this initiative is to support high-achieving learners and those with potential who are pursuing higher education.
This bursary opportunity is available for studies in the following field:
- Economics
- Accounting
- Internal Auditing
- Finance
- Supply Chain Management
- Risk Management
- Infrastructure (Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Stellenbosch Municipality Bursary 2025-2026, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must reside permanently within the Stellenbosch Municipality or its surrounding areas.
- Should have a strong academic track record.
- Must have completed or be currently pursuing matric.
- Intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any of the specified fields of study.
- Currently studying at a South African Higher Education and Training Institution or planning to enroll there.
- Must be currently unemployed.
