Stellenbosch University Online Registration 2025-2026

Final Admission Notification and Online Registration Advisory

We are pleased to announce that applicants who have been provisionally admitted will receive their official final admission confirmation along with detailed instructions for registration beginning on February 26, 2021.

Embracing Digital Registration Amid COVID-19:

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s ongoing challenges, we strongly advise all newly admitted applicants and continuing students to utilize our digital registration platform. If any technical difficulties arise with the online system, we offer an alternative registration method via email. For this, please get in touch with the designated faculty administrator or officer. Relevant contact information and registration guidelines for your specific faculty or program are listed below.

Registration Modalities Available:

Option 1: Self-Registration / Online Portal

  • We encourage the majority of students to self-register through our online portal, accessible via my.sun.ac.za. A comprehensive list of eligible programs for self-registration is available HERE.
  • However, self-registration is not available to students who:
    • Lack essential documents for admissibility (such as Matric exemption certificates).
    • Have not been officially readmitted to the University.
    • Owe outstanding fees (registration is possible upon clearance of dues).
    • Are new postgraduate students or are enrolled in special or transferred programs.
    • Have a final result other than “pass year” on their academic record.

Option 2: Email Registration

  • This method caters to those unable to access the online system. Attach proof of fee payment or scholarship award covering the first installment with your email registration request.
  • Students who have not settled fees from the previous year are ineligible to register unless they are NSFAS beneficiaries. For fee-related queries, contact the Bursaries and Loans office.
  • Assistance for email registration can be found in the contact list provided below.
  • Postgraduate students should use the mailed registration form and submit it via email to their respective faculty contacts.

Option 3: On-Campus Registration (Conditional)

  • On-campus registration is a contingent option, based on current COVID-19 regulations and protocols.
  • It is available for those unable to register online or via email.
  • On-campus registration is held at the computer user area (NARGA) within the Administration A Building on Stellenbosch campus, as per the scheduled times listed below.
  • Bring along proof of payment or scholarship documentation for the first installment of study fees.
  • NSFAS beneficiaries with outstanding fees from the previous year may register.
  • On-campus consultations are highly restricted and by appointment only if no other solution is viable. More details will be provided.
