Fields of Study: The Tourvest Bursary supports students pursuing studies in various fields related to the tourism and hospitality industry. These fields include Hospitality, Tourism, Travel, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Marketing, Retail, Human Resources, and Accounting.
Tourvest Bursary Application Requirements 2024-2025: To be eligible for the Tourvest Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Dependents of Tourvest employees, including children, adopted children, siblings, or individuals financially dependent on a Tourvest employee.
- Reside in one of the countries where Tourvest operates, such as South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, or Uganda.
- Tourvest employees must have a maximum monthly gross income of R50,000 (or the equivalent in their resident country).
- Maintain an excellent academic record.
- Achieve a minimum overall average of 65% for Matric or 60% at the tertiary level.
- Be studying or intending to study in one of the specified fields.
- Enroll at a public tertiary institution in their resident country.
- Not currently receiving funding from other bursary schemes.
- Have plans for a career within the Hospitality or Tourism industry.
Tourvest Bursary Application Procedures 2024-2025: When applying for the Tourvest Bursary, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Certified copy of your ID document or passport.
- Full academic record (if currently enrolled at the tertiary level).
- Latest academic results (if not currently studying).
- Proof of provisional admission or acceptance (on tertiary institution letterhead).
- Tourvest employee’s payslip.
- A motivational letter explaining how your chosen field of study will benefit Tourvest.
