The School of Business and Finance (SBF) provides academic and professional training to undergraduates, postgraduates and professionals. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING – 1507
NB: The Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), combined with the BCom (Accounting) degree is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) to prepare candidates for its Initial Test of Competence (ITC).
D.144 ADMISSION
Unless the Senate determines otherwise persons meeting the following requirements qualify for admission as a candidate for the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
D.144.1 A BCom (Accounting) degree or equivalent (as approved by the Department of Accounting) and
D.144.2 Passed all the 3rd year modules of the BCom (Accounting) degree (or equivalent) in one year with a subminimum of 55% for each module and an overall percentage of 57.5%.
D.145 SELECTION
As only a limited number of students can be admitted to the programme, applicants will be subject to a selection procedure.
D.146 DURATION
Unless Senate decides otherwise the duration of the programme shall extend over one (1) year full-time.
