Musina is near the confluence of the Limpopo River & the Sand River near Zimbabwe.

Cranbourne Station has a population of between 20,000 and 40,000. Iron ore, coal, magnetite, graphite, asbestos, diamonds, semi-precious stones and copper are some minerals that are mined there.

Musina experiences a hot semi-arid climate with extreme temperatures and a high concentration of precipitation (Koppen: BSh). Average annual precipitation amounts to 372 millimeters, and this is concentrated in the summer months from October to April.

Winter is extremely dry, with almost no precipitation, typically recorded in the driest months from June to August.

In this region of the world, winters are cold and dry. This can reduce the number of frosts, but the sky is clear enough to ensure a frost will occur if one does happen.
