About The Tiso Foundation:
The Tiso Foundation was established in 2001 as a Public Benefit Organization with a focus on awarding bursaries and scholarships for teaching and research. It is dedicated to improving support, education, and development for South African youth and is designed to be self-sustainable. The foundation places a strong emphasis on excellence and provides holistic support to deserving students.
Since its inception, The Tiso Foundation has invested over R100 million in programs that have positively impacted the lives of more than 42,000 individuals through skill development and education initiatives.
The Tiso Foundation Masters Scholarship 2025-2026:
The Tiso Foundation is offering scholarships for students pursuing a Master’s degree for the upcoming academic year. These scholarships aim to provide significant opportunities for South African youth to enhance their productivity and skill sets.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for The Tiso Foundation Masters Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must be classified as Black according to BBBEE categorization (including Indian, Coloured, or Black).
- Must have completed an M. Tech or Honors qualification.
- Must be pursuing or have applied for a full-time Master’s degree in any field at an accredited and recognized University of Technology or University in South Africa.
- Must have achieved a minimum average of 70% in the Matric examination and 65% in the latest tertiary examination.
- Must require financial assistance and be unemployed.
- Should be able to provide references along with their application.
