About the Company – Pretune Technologies:
Pretune Technologies is a software development company that specializes in various e-commerce platforms, as well as software solutions in telecommunications and construction. The company is known for providing efficient solutions within the telecommunication sector and offering solutions for cost measurement and financial accountability within the construction sector. Additionally, Pretune Technologies distributes SIM cards for Cell C within South Africa, and a portion of the income generated from airtime revenue is allocated to providing financial assistance to tertiary students.

Please note that this bursary does not cover students studying at FET Colleges or Technikons.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Pretune Technologies bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have a strong academic record
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have completed Matric or currently be in Matric
- Achieved a minimum of 50% for all subjects in Matric
- Achieved a minimum of 60% for Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) in Matric
- Achieved a minimum of 60% for English in Matric
- Be studying or intend to study full-time in one of the specified fields at a South African university
- Preference will be given to prospective students using a Cell C SIM card issued by Pretune Technologies
How to Apply for the Bursary:
To apply for the Pretune Technologies bursary, follow these steps:
- Download and complete the Pretune Technologies Bursary Application Form (available in PDF format).
- Submit clear copies of the required supporting documents along with your application form. The following documents are compulsory:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Grade 11 results (certified copy)
- Matric results (certified copy) if you have completed Matric
- Tertiary students’ June results or progress report for the current year (certified copy)
- Proof of parents’ or guardians’ income if employed (latest payslip, tax return statement, letter from employer, or sworn statement – certified copy)
- Proof of parents’ or guardians’ income if self-employed (latest financial statements – certified copy)
- Proof of parents’ or guardians’ income if unemployed (sworn affidavits – certified copy)
- Sworn statement from one parent if parents are separated
- Divorce certificate if parents are divorced
- Death certificates if one or both parents are deceased
