Overview of Black Mountain Mining (BMM) and Vedanta
Black Mountain Mining (BMM), a joint venture between Exxaro Resources and Vedanta-Zinc International (VZI), is situated in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. Established in 1980 and acquired by Vedanta Resources from Anglo American in 2010, BMM operates in a region rich in minerals. The mine consists of a processing plant and two underground shafts – the Swartberg Shafts and Deeps Shafts.
