Afrimat Bursary Programme for 2025-2026
Afrimat is inviting applications for its bursary programme for the 2025-2026 academic year, aiming to support students pursuing studies in specific fields across different locations:
- Afrimat Lyttelton in Centurion: Bursaries for Mining Related Studies.
- Afrimat Silica in Cullinan: Bursaries for Mining Related Studies.
- Afrimat Aggregates Operations Pty Ltd in the Western Cape: Bursaries for various fields including Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Financial Management, IT, and more.
Eligibility Criteria
For Afrimat Lyttelton (Centurion) and Afrimat Silica (Cullinan):
- South African citizen residing in specified areas.
- Completed Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- Intending to study towards a Mining-related qualification in 2025-2026.
- Accepted to study at a recognized institution in South Africa.
- Medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act.
For Afrimat Aggregates Operations (Western Cape):
- South African citizen.
- Completed Matric.
- Intending to study in one of the specified fields in 2025-2026.
- Accepted to study at a recognized institution in South Africa.
- Preference for students residing in specified Western Cape areas.
Application Process
Applications must be submitted online through the designated Afrimat bursary application links for each location. Applicants should mention “Uni24.co.za” when asked how they heard about the Afrimat bursary.
Required Documents:
- ID document and Matric certificate (certified copies).
- Proof of acceptance at a tertiary institution for 2025-2026.
- Proof of residence.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- For Western Cape applicants: Motivational letter and proof of parents’ or guardians’ income.
All documents must be compiled into a single file, not exceeding 3 MB.
Closing Date
The application deadline is 26 January 2025-2026. Late applications will not be considered.
