How can I Get a Copy of My Matric Certificate in South Africa?
Apply for replacement of your matric certificate (National Senior Certificate) at the Department of Basic Education or provincial department of education if you have lost or damaged your original certificate. You may apply and pay for the re-issue online.
How do I get a digital copy of my matric certificate?
You can apply at the Gauteng Department of Education Head Office or your nearest Districts by completing the Re-issues Application Form. You can apply online for the service: First register as users on the e-Government Portal www.eservices.gov.za.
How can I download my matric online?

- Click on the button for examination results.
- Click on the NSC exam results.
- You will be asked to put in your examination number.
- More personal information may be required.
- Click the search button.
- Your Matric results should appear here.
How long does it take to get a replacement matric certificate?
It takes between four to six weeks for a Replacement certificate to be issued (for records on the system). You can obtain your statement of results immediately.
