The CAPE BOD Bursary is provided by CAPE SAJBD, which stands for Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies. CAPE BOD Bursary 2024-2025:

The CAPE BOD Bursary is designed for Jewish students residing within the Western Cape province who wish to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in any field.

This bursary will cover 50% of the annual fees for the selected candidates. CAPE SAJBD aims to provide support to as many students as possible through this bursary program by covering half of the tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the CAPE BOD Bursary program, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be of Jewish descent
  • Must have completed Matric within the Western Cape Province and have permanent residence in the Western Cape for a minimum of three years
  • Must intend to study or be enrolled in undergraduate/postgraduate studies leading to a first qualification
  • Must be studying at or have applied to an accredited and recognized tertiary institution (technical college, university, or similar) in the Western Cape province
  • Must demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance
  • Must actively support communal organizations and be willing to participate in community leadership programs
  • Must adhere to all terms and conditions set by CAPE BOD
