About the General Electric Bursary Program:
General Electric is offering bursaries for the 2024-2025 academic year to South African students. The bursaries are available for full-time studies at public universities in various fields, including Commerce, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. However, it’s important to note that the bursary does not cover all qualifications within these faculties.
Eligibility Requirements for the General Electric Bursary:
To be eligible for the General Electric Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Age under 30 years at the time of application.
- Completion of Matric or currently in Matric.
- Enrollment in or intention to study full-time in one of the specified fields in 2024-2025.
- Study at a recognized public university in South Africa.
- Minimum overall average of 60% in current studies.
- Not in receipt of funding from another institution or bursary.
- Preference given to students from a previously disadvantaged background.

- Apply online at the General Electric Bursary Application 2024-2025.
- Select the “2024-2025 General Electric South Africa Bursary.”
- Choose “New Student Profile” and provide the required information to create a login.
- Check your email for a confirmation email containing your login details.
- Log in using your provided login details.
- Upload all required supporting documents listed below before the application deadline.
- Upload your final results as soon as they become available and wait for feedback.

- Certified copy of ID document.
- Certified copies of Grade 11 final results and Matric latest results if currently in Matric.

- Proof of university acceptance or provisional admission on the institution’s letterhead.
- Proof of parents or guardians’ household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA letter if on a pension).
