Hatch Bursary Requirements and Eligibility:
Before applying for the Hatch bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Chemical Engineering Bursary:
- South African citizenship.
- Final-year student pursuing a BSc or BEng in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering at a recognized tertiary institution or completed studies at a recognized tertiary institution with 12 months or less working experience.
- Minimum average academic achievement of 75% or above.
- Flexibility to work in any province within South Africa.
Civil Engineering Bursary:
- South African citizenship.
- Studying or planning to study a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Maintained an average academic achievement of 65% or above for tertiary students.
Electrical Engineering Bursary:
- South African citizenship.
- Studying or planning to study a BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Maintained an average academic achievement of 65% or above for tertiary students.
Mechanical Engineering Bursary:
- South African citizenship.
- Studying or planning to study a BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Maintained an average academic achievement of 65% or above for tertiary students.
