ABOUT THE HENSOLDT BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

HENSOLDT South Africa invites students to apply for their bursary program for the 2024-2025 academic year. The bursaries are available for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, with a focus on engineering and technical fields. The eligible fields of study include:

Undergraduate studies:

  1. Electronic Engineering (BEng) (with an interest in embedded software/firmware)
  2. Computer Engineering (BEng) (with an interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning)
  3. Computer Science (BSc)
  4. Mechanical Engineering (BEng) (with an interest in fine mechanical design and optics)
  5. Mechatronics Engineering (BEng) (with an interest in control systems)

Postgraduate studies:

A total of 10 bursaries will be awarded: 8 for undergraduate studies and 2 for postgraduate studies.

MORE ABOUT THE HENSOLDT BURSARY PROGRAMME – EXPENSES COVERED, OBLIGATIONS & SELECTION

The Hensoldt bursary covers various expenses, including tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, student accommodation, and a monthly allowance. After graduation, bursary recipients are required to work at HENSOLDT for one year for each year of funding received.

Undergraduate students must participate in holiday work, while postgraduate students are required to undertake project-related work at HENSOLDT. The bursary program may also include internships during and after studies.
