About the Imerys Refractory Bursary Program – Fields Covered:
Imerys Refractory Minerals South Africa is inviting students to apply for bursary funding for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Imerys Refractory Minerals SA Head Office in Centurion is highly focused on learning and skills development as part of its company’s overall objectives. The company will award bursaries for studies in the following fields:
- Analytical Chemistry
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental
- Finance
- Geology
- Human Resources
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Safety Management
- Other fields within the Mining Industry
Eligibility Requirements for the Imerys Refractory Bursary:
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria before applying. Note that failure to meet all requirements will result in disqualification:
- Completed Matric
- Registered to study in one of the aforementioned fields related to the mining industry
- Registered to study at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa
- Not currently receiving any sponsorship or funding
- Interested in pursuing a career in the Mining Industry

- Latest academic record: Matric certificate or University transcripts
- Proof of registration at a tertiary institution (university or college) for the 2025-2026 academic year (on institute’s letterhead)
- Fee statement from your tertiary institution for the 2025-2026 academic year (on institute’s letterhead)

- Motivational letter to support your application
