For PgD students in Nuclear Science and Technology:
- Engineering degree (Bing, BEng, or BSc (Eng)) or equivalent qualification at NQF level 8
- Three-year BSc degree including physics and mathematics
- Second-year Computer Science students at NQF 7 level
- BTech in engineering at NQF 7 level or BEngTech at NQF 8 level with a minimum average of 60%
For PgD students in Nuclear Science and Technology with Nuclear Technology Management:
- BTechEng degree at NQF 7 level
- BEngTech Eng. degree at NQF 8 level
- BEng or BIng, BSC (Eng) or equivalent at NQF 8 level
