Milliman is a global leader in actuarial services, risk management, and related technologies and data solutions. The company offers the Milliman Opportunity Scholarship to support students from ethnic groups that are traditionally underrepresented in fields such as actuarial science, computer science, data science, programming, and economics.
Milliman Opportunity Scholarship 2025-2026
The scholarship program is managed by Scholarship America, a leading organization that designs and manages educational assistance programs. Milliman determines eligibility, and Scholarship America evaluates applications that meet the requirements.
Scholarship Awards:
- Milliman grants 15 to 25 awards, each worth at least $5,000.
- Awards are available to undergraduate students.
- Renewal of awards is not guaranteed, but students can reapply each year if they meet eligibility criteria.
- Selection is based on academic records and essays submitted by applicants.
- Finalists are selected by Scholarship America and then by Milliman Inc.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must belong to an ethnically qualified minority group determined by Milliman, based on the country they reside in.
- Students must be residents and attend a university in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or South Africa.
- Strong academic record is required.
- Applicants should be high school seniors or current undergraduates.
- Intention to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program in the academic year 2025-2026-2024.
- Studying or intending to study in fields such as Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Finance, Programming, Mathematics, or Statistics.
How to Apply:
- Apply online through the Scholarship America website.
- Submit required documents, including the most recent transcript of grades (with credit hours, grades, and term).
- High school students from the US and Canada may need to submit ACT/SAT scores separately.
- Include professional test results if applicable.
Closing Date:
The application deadline is April 28, at 3:00 pm CT.
