PAMSA Bursary 2025-2026
The Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa (PAMSA) offers bursaries for students pursuing a postgraduate Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at registered South African universities. The scholarship provides funding for a 2-year study period with a value of R160,000 for each year. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to specialize in various fields related to chemical engineering during their postgraduate training.
About The Paper Manufacturers Association Of South Africa (PAMSA)
PAMSA is a strong advocate for the use of paper as a recyclable and renewable resource. Representing over 90% of South Africa’s paper manufacturers, PAMSA promotes sustainability, competitiveness, and growth within the industry. The association supports the education of future professionals by funding final-year BSc Chemical Engineering students as they complete their Masters of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree.
PAMSA Bursary Requirements And Eligibility
To be eligible for the PAMSA Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of South Africa (preferred but not essential)
- Be a final-year BEng/BSc Chemical Engineering student at a registered South African university or a BEng/BSc chemical engineering graduate
- Have completed studies within the last 5 years
- Have a good academic record
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in the final year of study
